Ive endured many years, decades in fact
Of being torn down because I am black
They say its because I look like a threat
I am just a man trying to do my best
You stripped the tools needed for my life to be great
And then you wonder why I question my fate
I was born just as equal as you in fact
So please leave me be and give it all back
You have stripped me my manhood and dignity too
How would you feel if the same is done to you
I will still hold my head up as my back is strong
I am here to protect me and where I am from
I hold no malice, I just want peace
So back the hell up and just let me be
