Fear to be Me

I sit in my shell
As I fear to exhale
Fear to breath in
Fear to prevail

I sit in this shell
As a means to my end
No eyes to pry
No one can tell

In my shell
I’m happy to be me
No fear of laughter
From those who can’t see

I sit in this shell
And I wonder why
Why caterpillars change
Into beautiful butterflies

I break from this shell
With no fear to be me
No fear to be seen
Im fearless
As me
